    Questions about your range

How do I find my vocal range?

Explore with a comfortable hum first. Start the range check when ready, hold a low note, take a breath and repeat it, then confirm that it felt comfortable. Do the same for your high note.

Does this tell me my voice type?

The result shows the notes you captured today. It can offer broad voice-type context, but two endpoints cannot determine your voice type, tone or comfortable tessitura.

    Can I change one endpoint?

Yes. Redo low or Redo high keeps the other confirmed endpoint so you can repeat just that part.

Is my voice recorded or uploaded?

No. The microphone is analyzed in your browser without recording or uploading audio.

Why has a note not locked?

The detector needs a clear note held steadily for about one and a half seconds. Try one easy hum closer to the microphone. Short sounds, breaths or a changing pitch may not qualify.
